Sexy Roman Gladiator Costume
Available in Extra Small/small and Medium/Large
Surprise! A female gladiator is ready to compete alongside the men in the arena, while wearing a sexy Roman Gladiator costume.
This costume is a delight with its white sleeveless top with a plunging neckline. The faux leather wide belt and short kilt type skirt is framed by an attached red cape. Black arm bands and wrist cuffs studded with spikes tells all that you mean business. The black headpiece will anchor a wig if you choose to buy one to wear with this cute eye-catching outfit.
Not included are the gold sandals and a sword but they are easily purchased separately. Gladiators were celebrated as entertainers in Roman history. They were commonplace throughout the ancient Roman world. You can bet that there’s a Marc Anthony out there who’s quite interested in meeting you.
Roman Gladiator Man’s Costume
Available in Adult Plus Sizes: 2X (up to 28 lbs), 3X (up to 320 lbs)
This is truly the ultimate costume for a warrior – a true Roman Gladiator man’s costume. A light tan colored sleeveless tunic that will hang above your knees will show off those muscled calves. Faux leather vertical black straps flow downward from the shoulders, covering the costume.
The darker tan wide belt has three belt buckles for added interest. Both arm and shin guards barely contain those muscles and help complete the outfit.
No need to go barefoot, however. Furnish your own sandals and sword and you’re ready to decimate that lion in the arena. Even Emperor Julius Caesar will be cheering you on along with the soldiers envying your courage and the women who want a lock of your hair – unless, of course, you don’t have any. Although this costume is provided in plus sizes, it will be quite short if you are over 5’7” unless you don’t mind it being short. We’ll bet the empress won’t mind at all. You can always wear a pair of Bermudas underneath.
History indicates that gladiators were usually condemned criminals who entertained Roman audiences with violent confrontations with wild animals in a huge outdoor arena such as the Colosseum whose remnants are still present in modern day Rome, Italy. Other gladiators were volunteers who risked their lives in order to inspire admiration and gain acclaim from the multitudes. What incredible warriors they were.
Between 1 BCE and the 2nd Century, gladiators were acclaimed swordsmen, even Centurions, armed combatants. They were not only trained well in martial arts but in dying well. If they defeated the animal, the crowd decided if they lived or died using a “thumbs up” to be kept alive or a “thumbs down” decision making process. During the 4th Century, Christian emperors continued to sponsor these spectacles until the late 5th Century when they finally ended. There’s no reason you can’t wear daunting gladiator Roman costumes to the local Halloween party to show that you were one of the winners with outstanding courage and talent.
