Greek Roman Costumes
Go back to the good old days by wearing Greek Roman Costumes!
Why not masquerade as a Greek or Roman gladiator, centurion or even emperor, empress, goddess this coming Halloween or for your frat party? It’s easy to get a costume that fits and works out well.
The ancient Grecian culture, as well as the Romans, offers many costumes for men, women and kids that are so comfortable you won’t mind going to that party with your better half. We’ve listed a few outfits below that should be able to please men wearing a standard or plus size. Do take a look – you won’t be disappointed.
Toga Man’s Greek Roman Costume
Available in a standard one size fits all, up to a 44” waistline
This simple, easy-to-wear yet inexpensive costume can be worn for years to come. Made of nylon and polyester, it includes a white loose fitting toga that is enhanced by a faux gold lame sash to be worn over one shoulder.
It should reach your knees, leaving you to wear a really comfy boat-neck type tee-shirt and boxer shorts underneath. You can dare to go shoeless or wear your own pair of sandals.
Wear it for the costume ball on a cruise — it’s really easy to pack – or a Halloween party in your back yard. It’s easy to buy a wreath for your head, or a headband if you wish. You can always dress it up with arm bands, too. Your goddess will think you look not only cute, but sexy. Any man will like that reaction.
Julius Caesar Greek Roman Plus Size Costume
Available in Adult Plus sizes (fits 44-50)
This majestic purple floor length tunic with elbow-length sleeves edged in white not only looks good but feels great on. It includes a white drape, also edged in white, lies over one shoulder and trails down to your hips. The gold belt cord can be adjusted to your plus size body.
Even though the crown and arm band are sold separately, they’re easy to buy. You can wear your own summer sandals and be really comfortable. If your hair isn’t long, you may want to consider getting a wig and beard. You can pretend to be a Centurion on leave from the war for the next party if you want a change from being an emperor.
There are many Roman and Greek heroes and characters so there are a multitude of costumes for your wearing pleasure. Although gladiators were usually slaves who were forced into entertaining the Romans through staged animal fights in amphitheatres, the winners were glorified.
Since the selection is quite extensive for Roman costumes, simply ask your woman what she’d like to wear. Perhaps she would like to be an empress to your emperor. How about Cleopatra to your Marc Anthony? She may want to be Aphrodite, the Roman Venus. Most women would enjoy portraying the goddess of love and beauty, having been born out of the foam generated in the sea. Certainly Julius Caesar would extend his arm to her and seat her next to him. And you can, too. Enjoy.
