Why not consider a Greek Roman costume for you for your partner or for your kids?  After all, Halloween isn’t that far away and every year there’s a Mardi Gras costume party.

There are many costumes with a couples theme. Consider looking like the sexy goddess you are and get a comfy Greek toga for your companion while you’re buying, whether he wears a standard size or a plus size.

Check out our suggestions below that you will love wearing and that will garner a lot of attention – perhaps a prize for the best costume.

Greek Roman Empress Costume
Available in Adult sizes: S, M, L

This sexy but not clingy floor length costume is a knock-out. You can’t miss looking like a Greek or Roman Empress in a bright red one-shoulder dress edged in gold trim.

The fabric is beautiful and the arm cape will flow behind you as you dance with your Emperor at the next Costume Ball. An attractive gold crown set with red jewels separates you from the rest of the women who may be wearing Grecian or Roman costumes.

Jewelry and shoes are not included but you can wear your own strappy gold sandals and bring along a gold dressy handbag. Your girls will ooh and aah as they watch you get dressed for a night on the town when you’ll be the grand empress of the ball. All attending gladiators and centurions will be cutting in for a dance.

Alexander the Great Greek Roman Costume
Available in Standard Adult Size, Extra Large and XXX-Large

Whether you want to be Emperor Julius Caesar or Alexander the Great, this costume fits the bill, as they say.

A full length white tunic that flows almost down to your ankles has a ruby red and gold cape to fling over your shoulders and drape over your arm. Included are a gold rope belt, matching gauntlets and a headband that coordinates with the rest of the outfit.

You can go barefoot along with your toga but if you prefer, supply your own pair of comfortable sandals and your outfit is complete. Any local centurion can’t compete with this ancient yet powerful costume. Marc Antony had better watch out.

The colder northern climates of Italy may have dictated the fashions from about 100 AD on because workmen and soldiers wore tunicas that just about reached their ankles. Of course there’s always a woman around who tries to dictate fashion for men and this may be one of the clothing trends she influenced. The tunics actually were given a new name, the Caracalla, and from 200 AD almost everyone was wearing them. The dignitaries wore them under their togas.

If a Roman wanted to be elected a magistrate, he had to wear a spotless white toga called the Toga Candida. Our modern word for candidate comes from Toga Candida. You can’t go wrong with an ancient Roman or Greek costume for Halloween or any costume party. Your kids will be donning white bed sheets after you leave the house, pretending to be a soldier or gladiator for the rest of the evening.
